Viorel Stan is a dynamic and energetic leader in the iGaming industry. As the co-founder of GSH Online Media, Viorel has been instrumental in creating and growing flagship brands, such as SlotsCalendar, the "IMDb of online slots," and BetBrain, the market's largest odds comparison platform. At this moment, Viorel serves as CEO of the group and Chief Editorial Officer.
Under his leadership, SlotsCalendar has achieved notable success, which has been acknowledged by customers and industry experts. During this period, SlotsCalendar won the AffPapa Igaming Awards "Slot Review of the Year" award twice and the "Best PR Award". Those distinctions solidified SlotsCalendar's reputation as an authoritative source for all online casino lovers.
Viorel started cumulating igaming experience in 2011 when he joined EveryMatrix and started managing the OddsMatrix Sportsbook Division, where he managed to grow the product and received industry acknowledgment by winning prestigious igaming awards from EGR multiple times.
After several years he transitioned from B2B to B2C by creating and leading the EveryMatrix B2C division, overseeing multiple online casinos across various jurisdictions.
Through his association with EveryMatrix, Viorel has played a pivotal role in helping over 100 casinos obtain iGaming licenses from renowned regulatory bodies like UKGC, MGA, DGA, Curacao, and ONJN. Beyond regulatory compliance, he has assisted these operators in scaling their businesses and expanding into new markets.
An avid speaker, Viorel frequently shares his expertise at industry-leading events such as iGB, SiGMA Europe, SiGMA Asia, AffPapa and Igaming Club, where he engages with thought leaders and peers to drive innovation in iGaming.
Viorel’s educational journey is as diverse as his professional accomplishments. He holds a solid technical foundation from his highschool years and pursued studies in Marketing and International Affairs at the university. Committed to personal growth, he earned a Master’s degree in Financial Management and Capital Markets (ASE). He also dedicated two additional years to completing an Executive MBA from a prestigious university in Romania (ASEBUSS) and the USA (Kennesaw State University – Michael J. Coles College of Business).
